Moray Firth Bed and Breakfast ~
Ardglass Bed and Breakfast, Hopeman

Welcome to Ardglass Bed & Breakfast in Hopeman
Anne and Pete Thoms warmly welcome you to Hopeman and to Ardglass Bed and Breakfast, your home from home on the Moray Coast.

Families are particularly welcome.

The B&B is easily located on the main road which runs through the top of Hopeman, near the centre of the village and opposite the bowling green.

Hopeman
The friendly village of Hopeman is situated on the Moray coast, 7 miles North of Elgin on the B9012, and within easy travelling distance of Inverness to the West and Aberdeen to the East.

Hopeman is a most attractive village featuring white, sandy beaches; a marina set within a small traditional harbour; a panoramic 18 hole golf course; a welcoming bowling club [on the very doorstep of Ardglass B&B!]; boat trips and sea fishing opportunities; a large skatepark, popular with youngsters; and stunning coastal walks. Visitors may also be thrilled to catch sight of the famous Moray Firth Dolphins.

It's facilities include a comfortable hotel and restaurant, a cafe and 2 fast food outlets, and several shops, bars and local services.

Perhaps Hopeman's greatest asset is the friendliness of the inhabitants and its family orientation. Highlight of the year is a fun-filled 8 day Gala which takes place traditionally during the 3rd week of July.

Within the locality
Hopeman is ideally situated for visitors to Gordonstoun School or the RAF base at Lossiemouth.

Nearby lies the historic town of Elgin and the magnificent ruins of Elgin Cathedral. Several other historic sites including Spynie Palace and Duffus Castle lie within the immediate vicinity. A little further afield, but within easy reach, lie Cawdor Castle and Culloden Battlefield. Visitors can follow the Castle Trail in further pursuit of Scotland's colourful history.

A visit to Cairngorm National Park or a walk along The Speyside Way is a must for hillwalkers, outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers.

Golfers can choose from a large range of reasonably priced links or inland courses, including the Championship courses of Moray Golf Club [Lossiemouth] and Nairn West.

Whisky enthusiasts can track down their favourite brands by embarking on The Whisky Trail, featuring world famous distilleries such as Glenfiddich and The Macallan.
